Join these speakers as they introduce “protective lifestyle and nutrition" concepts that optimize health and human performance through personalized and integrative approaches. Whether you’re a medical student, seasoned practitioner, researcher, educator, or human performance professional, learn how Lifestyle and Functional Medicine can be used in the Military Health System to protect those who serve with lasting impact.


Attendees will learn to:

  • Describe “lifestyle medicine” and “functional medicine”

  • Define personal protective nutrition (PPN) and personal protective lifestyle (PPL)

  • Understand the importance of these concepts in the context of COVID-19

  • Recognize the evidence and ongoing research into the ways people behave, think, and eat can impact and optimize their physiology

  • Find additional resources about these quickly growing medical subspecialty fields
